The Climbing Book Shop (Sole Trader: Gareth Hanson), is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes the information we collect about you and the measures we have in place to safeguard your privacy when you use the website.

We will only use information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).

The information we collect and how we use it

The Climbing Book Store does not store any information about you. When you checkout your order, you are redirected to PayPal’s secure page, where you complete your transaction. Once your order has been successfully processed, PayPal will send us your address details so that we can fulfill your order. None of these details will be stored online by the Climbing Book Shop. We will however store your address details, securely, offline in our customer records.

We may contact you from time to time with information that we feel you might find useful. With any such information, will be the option to ‘opt out’ with just one mouse click on a clearly marked ‘unsubscribe’ button. If you do this, you will not hear from us again.

Security of your information

We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us. This is to prevent unauthorised access or unlawful processing of your personal information. We keep your information confidential and store it on a secure server which is password protected and hidden behind a firewall from the outside world.
